CHUNWOO KANG
Dr. Kang moved from South Korea to Albuquerque in 2003. He attended the University of New Mexico for his undergraduate and went to Creighton University School of Dentistry in Nebraska. During his stay at Creighton University, he was a member of SNDA (Student National Dental Association) and Alpha Sigma Nu Jesuit honor society. He received Cum Laude honors and Doctorate of Dental Surgery when he graduated from Creighton University. Dr. Kang completed his Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) Residency at UNM.
After finishing his AEGD residency program at UNM, Dr. Kang started working together with Dr. Steichen and received his mentorship. He attended Dental Sirona World and Fiesta New Mexico Dental Association to take various continuing education regarding restorative dentistry, dental surgeries, and implants. Most recently, he attended CDOCS course on Advanced Concepts in Endodontics Therapy and Glidewell’s continuing education on Implant Surgery. When he is not working, he likes to volunteer and give back to the community by volunteering at Mission of Mercy or help his wife give back to the homeless community at her church. Dr. Kang and his wife love to walk and spend time with their furry daughter (dog) Mimi.
