Safety Precautions

We Care About Your Health

Our office is committed to the safety of our staff, patients, and the community as a whole.
Our staff and patients will be performing hands free check-in and check-out processes, in-office temperature checks, hand sanitizing, and masks will be worn by patients and staff.

An antimicrobial mouth rinse will be provided to all patients prior to all procedures.

Additional procedures and equipment we have are:

  • Laser decontamination:
is a completely painless procedure that reduces the number of bacteria in the mouth without producing aerosols. Research shows laser decontamination promotes healthier gum tissue. This is a procedure we have done for patients with active periodontal disease. We are now performing this procedure on all hygiene patients as a new standard of care.
  • Air Purifying Units with HEPA Filtration and UV Sterilization:
use High-efficiency particulate air (HEPA), also known as high-efficiency particulate absorbing. HEPA air filters remove at least 99.97% of particles whose diameter is equal to 0.3 μm; from the air that passes through.
  • UV Sterilization Wands:
UV light takes seconds to decontaminate pathogens by destroying bacteria DNA. This can be used on all materials, but especially where chemicals have a harder time reaching (for example: computer keyboards and phones).
The office central AC/Heating units also have both HEPA filtration and UV sanitization.
  • Extra Oral Air Evacuation Systems:
will be in each operatory to remove aerosols during procedures. This unit will sit less than 18 inches away from the patient’s mouth to ensure aerosols are significantly reduced in the operatories.
  • Extra Oral Air Evacuation Systems:
will be in each operatory to remove aerosols during procedures. This unit will sit less than 18 inches away from the patient’s mouth to ensure aerosols are significantly reduced in the operatories.
  • ISOVac, Intra Oral Evacuation System:
will be used during dental procedures. This is placed in the mouth to reduce aerosols and saliva.
